Enlightenment

Dear Mr. Pilot Baba. I recently saw an article that defined enlightenment as Samadhi. I am currently writing my thesis paper for school on the changing definition of enlightenment throughout history and was wondering what your opinion on enlightenment is. Do you think that high yogic understanding is necessary for enlightenment such as the historical Buddha had? Do you think one can become enlightened without any similar practices? Do you think that instant enlightenment is a possibility such as is taught in some Zen/Chan Buddhist practices? And lastly, if you don't agree with some of these ideas of enlightenment, then what do you think the motivation behind the changing definition of enlightenment would be from a religious standpoint? I would really appreciate your answers to these questions because as I mentioned it is for a school paper. Thank you so much for your time. Sincerely, Kay

Greetings of love and peace from all of us here. Revered Babaji has seen your mail and has following to
say :-

"What you think enlightenment is a teaching.....enlightenment is a practice. It is not. It is just a happening. All the teachings are preparation. If you are not ready, enlightenment / Samadhi is not going to happen. You are living in the universe which consists many dimensional living things. Because it is your mind. Mind is multidimensional. You cannot get anything. The way Buddha / Jesus etc. had their own path, so you have your own path. You have your way of descending and ascending, which will happen in your own way. So you have to find out the door of your higher consciousness, YOU HAVE IT ALREADY BUT IT IS COVERED BY YOUR MIND. How you can remove the clouds of your mind are through techniques of Mantra / Meditation/Kriya Yoga etc. Samadhi is your origin. your nothingness. It consists everything of the Universe and you are part of Universe. You can search in it the way you search in the modern age in "GOOGLE". Google within yourself, as your mind has everything. Your mind is your subconscious mind, is your conscious mind, is your inner consciousness. Mind is awakening , it is sleep, dream and consciousness. so is your mind Pragya( Intuitional intelligence) /Ritumbhara. However remember all these are mind and not you. You are just beyond these things. How you can drop. Dropping is important. Separation is important, then happening will happen. Create that gap. That is important. Though there are many gaps inside you. In between any two things there is a gap. That gap is enlightenment, Samadhi. Forget about world and religion , both are mind , these are your mind belonging and you do not belong to it.

It is "Discovery of your own truth, divine identity". Living in the divine and merging within the whole. Nothing but feeling of "ONENESS" emerges in you. To know oneself through Samadhi is to meet one's true Self, it is the beginning of knowing Consciousness.
